Our process of Plastic Injection molding

Zatec offers a holistic product service, from design co-working actively with our customers and choosing the most suitable materials at the beginning of the project, managing the tooling through to the serial production of the injected part, meeting the client’s requirements.   By this way, we send the PPAP documents and dimensional report to homologate from our Quality/Metrology Department.

We are a flexible company, manufacturing small series and big size lots based on annual volume. By this reason it is very important to apply the SMED techniques.

Design, Undertaking the design engineering for the part if it is necessary, and presenting the 3D/prototype for consideration and approval. We work actively with our customers, proposing improvements in geometry and materials from initial design depending on technical specifications or requirements set out.

Prototypes, presentation of samples to the client using suitable technology within a short space of time, whether for checking dimensions, assembly, appearance, functional test, or simply for marketing. Short production runs, SLS (laser sintering), SLA (stereolithography) or 3D printing collaborating with technological centers. Medium production runs, silicone molds, aluminium and treated steel… etc.


Toolings, we take charge of the mold engineering, actively working with qualified specialist tooling providers to obtain parts in the quality/quantity required. Follow-up and execution of mold tests with sample presentations through to standardization. Preventive and corrective tooling maintenance is performed in our facilities to ensure the mold works properly.

Production, we have a bank of eighteen machines (electricals, two of them) with an automatic feeding of raw material for precision injection of technical parts in engineering plastics, per customer needs. In addition, we undertake other complementary activities, such as pad printing, welding (spin and ultrasonic), humidity conditioning for hygroscopic parts in climatic chambers and assemblies.
